STARTUP CAMP FOR TEENS
This fun, week-long program runs from 9 am to 3 pm and takes students from innovation inception to plan, culminating in a pitch competition. It builds the successful mindset for work and life: creativity, empathy and problem-solving. Experiential skills in teamwork, self-assessment and communication are delivered in unexpected, fun ways.
Camp held at Silicon Valley Community Foundation in Mountain View. Summer sessions in 2018 sold out within 2 weeks.
SOCIAL INNOVATION WORKSHOP
The full-day program enables students in grades 9-12 to develop an innovative concept, working in teams or individually, to improve the school or local community. (Students at other schools have developed solutions to parking issues, student support groups, and recycling programs.) The program begins with self-assessment, idea generation techniques and concept testing. We break for lunch and then develop presentations to pitch to a panel of industry experts for feedback.
