About the event
NIMBLE Mindset collaborated with the Mitchell Institute to produce the Innovation Lab, bringing together Mitchell Scholars and alumni to explore new approaches to learning and problem-solving. The focus of the event was on the NIMBLE framework, a model designed to enhance adaptability and foster innovative thinking.
Mariette Wharton, a renowned expert in organizational innovation, highlighted the critical role of agility and continuous learning in today’s ever-changing landscape. Wharton explained how the NIMBLE framework can help professionals effectively address complex challenges.
The Innovation Lab featured interactive workshops and discussions where participants applied the NIMBLE principles to real-world scenarios. These included exercises on diversity of thinking and the impact of constraints on creativity as well as brainstorming, brainswarming, mindmapping, and Design Thinking as ideation techniques. The morning program concluded with teams of participants running through the full cycle of Design Thinking to produce and present a prototype headset for videoconferencing.
Overall, the event was a success, providing alumni with practical tools and strategies to drive innovation and adaptability in their personal and professional lives.
