Robin Abrams

Robin Abrams

Robin has held CEO positions including at VeriFone and Palm Computing. She has 30+ years of experience in building and developing high-tech companies. She was Managing Director Apple Asia. She also held executive roles at  Norwest Bank (now Wells Fargo) and Unisys. She has also held "hired gun" roles at Chemdex, BlueKite, Connection to eBay and Firefly Mobile. Robin currently serves on several public company boards: HCL Technologies, Sierra Wireless, FactSet Research and Lattice Semiconductor.

 

Daniil Andreev

Danny studied at Washington University in St. Louis and Knox College and has worked as a founder and CTO for Microbiota Labs and Charged Inc. He has worked as a Hardware Engineer at Cisco and Kindred.ai. He was a Lab Technician at Knox College and was a freelance 3D model designer. Danny was an Automation Engineer at Yubico and is currently a Production Engineering Manager at Verdant Robotics.

 

Brent Ahrens

Brent is General Partner at Canaan Partners, a venture capital firm. He leads investments in an array of healthcare companies, with a focus on biopharma and medtech. Brent has worked in both commercial and technical roles at General Surgical Innovations, Ethicon Endo-Surgery (J&J), and IAP Research. He also has several surgical instrument patents. Brent earned an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and holds a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton.

Sheira Ariel, Ph.D.

Sheira is Research Advisor for NIMBLE. She has expertise in individual, group and organizational effectiveness. Sheira has held roles at Sun Microsystems and IBM and most recently, Silicon Valley Bank. She holds a B.A. in Psychology and a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a M.A. in Business Research and a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

John Arledge

John is  the VP of Product Management at Akamai. He has deep industry expertise in software and services for telco, cable, satellite, enterprise, security, consumer electronics, professional sports, and automotive. John has held several senior executive positions with Internet brands including Akamai, Danger, TiVo, OpenTV and others, and also was a founder of two startups. He holds an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

 

Clarence Chui

Clarence Chui is CEO & Co-Founder of Outward Inc., an enterprise technology company acquired in 2017 by Williams-Sonoma Inc.  Clarence was Senior Vice President and General Manager at the MEMS Technologies division of Qualcomm. During his time at Iridigm Display Corporation (acquired by Qualcomm), Clarence was Director of Technology Development. He is a named inventor on over 140 issued US utility patents. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, and a M.S. and Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Maria Dincel

Maria is the Senior Director of Brand Experience at Evolv Technologies. Previously Managing Director of Global Partnerships at Cisco, Maria oversaw sports and entertainment sponsorships. From 2005-2011, she oversaw Cisco’s sports & entertainment portfolio, including NBA, Live Nation, Rio 2016 Olympic & Paralympic Games, and Tokyo 2020 Olympic & Paralympic Games, The Ellen Show, and Jimmy Kimmel live. She also worked with leagues (MLB, NHL), broadcasters (NBC, Turner, ESPN), and events (AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am).

 

Valerie Duncker

Valerie has served as a NIMBLE Board Member and has been active in NIMBLE marketing and accounting functions. She worked on a Amazon team as a program manager for global diversity, equity and inclusion. Previously, she drove marketing, communications and HR projects in a cross-functional, global context for a multi-billion dollar aerospace company, a VC-backed technology startup and has held various management & engineering services companies. Valerie is fluent in four languages.

David Gilmour

David is CTO at Allermi. He was Managing Director of Blyth Capital Partners LLC, an investment advisor and hedge fund manager engaged in algorithmic statistical arbitrage and development of proprietary trading technology. For 25 years, David has been a successful high technology entrepreneur, executive, and board member, including as SVP, Collaboration Technology, for Oracle, following its acquisition of Tacit Software, a venture-backed software company David founded in 1997, serving as President and CEO. David was also co-founder and Chief Research Officer of Giga Information Group (NASDAQ: GIGX), a leading provider of proprietary research on Information Technology. He has numerous issued patents in machine learning, natural language processing, privacy and security. From Harvard, David holds a B.S. in Engineering and Applied Physics, a M.S. in Engineering and a M.B.A. with distinction.

 

Katherine Glassey

Katherine has held CEO positions at RainDance, LightScan Technologies, AuroraSFC, and gForce Systems. She has over 30 years of experience in growing revenue for various innovative tech companies. Katherine was the Chief of Staff at National Grid Partners and the Business Advisor for The Detection Group. She has experience as an investor at the Band of Angels and ConnectHomes.com. Katherine was a Venture Acceleration Partner at Sage Partners and serves as an advisor and director for technology startups and is now a Seed Investor at Komfort IQ.

David Hale

David is Director at TechnoServe Labs, a non-profit operating in 29 countries to lift people out of poverty through private partnerships. He served as CEO at Gigwalk from 2014-2017 and he was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Lightspeed Venture Partners in 2013. David is an experienced CEO and GM who believes in the transformative power of education and work. He has managed and scaled cross-functional teams in the US, Asia, Japan and Europe and was a member of two executive teams that have completed an IPO. David holds a B.S. in Engineering from Stanford University as well as a M.A. in Education Administration and Policy Analysis and a M.B.A. from Stanford University.

Norman Happ

Norm is the CEO of ATP. Prior to his current role, he was CEO of EZ Texting and Senior Vice President of Sales and Partnerships at Evernote where he was responsible for building the strategy and organization. Having previously spent 8 years in go-to-market executive roles within Intuit’s Small Business Group, he knows the challenges of high-velocity SaaS sales. During his time at Intuit, Norm developed and designed a series of breakthrough customer-targeting data mining algorithms. Prior to Intuit, he spent 5 years at H&R Block in diverse leadership roles, where he was responsible for building and scaling the company’s first inside sales organization. Early on in his career, Norm founded two technology companies and worked extensively throughout Europe.

 

Marika Holmgren

Marika Holmgren is the Founder and CEO of Do Good Events.  After spending her 20s as a grassroots organizer to save the rainforests, she began producing fundraising events for non-profit organizations. Her company, founded as Organic Events in 2000, and relaunched as Do Good Events in 2015, works to create great events for the greater good. On average, her clients raise $5,000,000 cumulatively each year through the events that DGE produces. Her clients include Human Rights Watch, the Sierra Club, Planned Parenthood, ClimateWorks Foundation and many more progressive social change organizations. Marika believes that bringing smart, passionate people together in the right setting blooms the ideas and incentives to change the world. She holds a B.A. from Middlebury College.

 

Piyush Mangalick

Piyush serves as VP, Partner Engineering, Media Partnerships at Central Systems/Tools at Meta. For nearly 9 years prior, he was Director, Developer Platform & Partnerships at Facebook. Before Instagram/Facebook, Piyush was Lead Sales Engineer and Senior Technology Program Manager & Product Manager at Google. Piyush co-founded multiple companies, including VentureLoop and EndUse, for which he was also CTO. Piyush holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

 

Colin McGrath

Colin is a senior software engineer at Netskope with expertise in AI, blockchain and Kubernetes. Previously, he was a distributed systems engineer at Lamden and a software engineer at Nubeva, a cloud security company. His focus is in network, machine learning and blockchain technologies. Colin was an early developer at Ring, creating custom software for CRM integration and also worked at the pioneering cloud video conferencing company Vidtel. He earned a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of California at Irvine. 


 

Jonathan Norris

Jon is a Managing Director, Business Development  at Silicon Valley Bank. He oversees banking and lending opportunities and spearheads strategic relationships with many life science and healthcare venture capital firms. He also helps SVB Capital through sourcing and advising on limited partnership allocations. Jon has more than nineteen years of banking experience working with healthcare companies and venture capital firms. He earned a B.A. in business administration from the University of California, Riverside and a J.D. from Santa Clara University.
 

Jen Paulson

Starting out early in life as an entrepreneur, Jen developed the summer camp at Fremont Hills Country Club as a teenager and then oversaw its operations for 10 years during and after college. Subsequently, she worked in project management at Komo Construction and has resumed her entrepreneurial spirit as a real estate agent with the Christie's.

Elisa Camahort Page

Elisa is an Executive Advisor at The Cru. She was a co-founder and COO of BlogHer and author of Road Map for Revolutionaries: Resistance, Activism, and Advocacy for All.  She is a board Member of NanoSTEAM Foundation and Our Hen House and is an advisor for Astia and SXSW Interactive. She holds a BA from San Jose State University.
 

Igor Pistelak

Igor is a global operational expert in crisis management, with over 20 years of experience improving operations for businesses across the globe, from startups to Fortune 500 companies. At Cisco, he led worldwide business operations for nearly 6 years supporting 70% of Cisco’s Services businesses, directed sales operations for Cisco’s European and emerging markets for nearly 5 years. He is the creator and founder of Profit Circles, a software platform for operational excellence enabling business leaders to accelerate growth and profitability by operating simply.  Igor holds a M.B.A. from Nottingham Trent University.

David Ratner

David  is CEO of HYAS, a cyber security firm. Prior to HYAS, he was CEO  of Realm in the mobile and IoT space. David previously served as President of the Enterprise Division and Chief Product Officer for Syniverse Technologies, CEO of Openwave Messaging, and COO of SEVEN, among other roles. He developed and deployed the world's first photo-messaging system and the world's first mobile video voicemail solution. He has scaled multiple companies in the mobile sector, through executive-level positions in venture capital backed, private equity backed, and public companies. David holds a B.A. in Math and Computer Science from Cornell University, and a M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from UCLA.

Kristin Russel

Kristin is CMO at symplr.  Previously, she was SVP Marketing at Carrot and VP of Marketing for Humana’s Transcend Insights. Before Transcend Insights, she led marketing for Omnicell, with responsibility for the product portfolio at the medication and automation solutions vendor. She started her healthcare experience at Cerner. Kristin is also a successful entrepreneur; she co-founded Anachron, a global on-line banking solution that was sold to ING Bank. Kristin holds a M.A. in public administration from Carleton University in Canada and an M.B.A. in international finance from École Supérieure de Commerce de Rennes, France.

Eran Sandhaus

Eran is Managing Partner and Co-Founder of J-Impact Fund. He was Managing Director at Copia Growth Partners. Eran advises corporates and startups and serves on the boards of leading companies and in the field of smart mobility, autonomous driving, and connected services. He is passionate about social change and using technology as means of promoting economic development. Eran led Delphi Automotive’s (now Aptiv) Autonomous Driving and Connected Services business unit, overseeing global engineering teams, business staff and wholly owned subsidiaries focused on providing hardware, software, algorithms and cloud services to transform future mobility. Prior to Delphi, Eran was a senior executive for over 20+ years in Fortune 500 companies including Qualcomm, Cypress, Texas Instruments and Marvell. Eran led global businesses, operations and M&A focused on server communications, storage, mobile handsets and Internet-of-Things (IoT) for consumer, automotive and industrial applications.

James Schonzeit

Presently Senior Product Designer at Square, James was a Design Research Lead at IDEO in San Francisco, a Design Strategist II at fuseproject and a Senior Design Researcher at IA Collaborative. James is a design thinking mentor and speaker in Middlebury College’s entrepreneurship course, MiddCORE, and provides actionable input on NIMBLE program participants’ company concepts. He holds a B.A. in Economics, Film & Media Culture from Middlebury College.

Bill Sheppard

Bill was in Business Development at SoundHound and a Lead in the Developer Program at Avis Budget Group.  He has served as an advisory board member at Nuro Technologies and was a founding investor at Tok.TV.  Previously he was General Manager, Innovation Ecosystem at ADT University. Bill holds a BS in Computer Engineering at Iowa State University.

Laura Torres

Laura is a positioning consultant with Firebrick Consulting, working with leading brands. She has over 15 years of experience in product marketing, product management, strategy and communications in both B2B and B2C. She is skilled in crafting messaging and bringing compelling products to market. Laura was VP and Director of Product Marketing for Eyefi, CMO Strategy Group and Peoplesoft and holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.

Mariette Wharton 

NIMBLE founder, Mariette is a former tech founder (first cloud video conferencing service, developed in 2008), CEO advisor, angel investor, board member and speaker. Her firm Change Agent Partners advises impact-driven, high integrity problem-solvers on biomedical innovations. She is passionate about cultivating 21st century skills in our next generation of leaders. She holds an MBA from Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
